Welcome to the website for Cairns Brass Inc in Far North Queensland Australia. Established some 85 years ago Cairns Brass proudly maintains its original aims and objectives to foster friendships and provide an organization where music is enjoyed. Cairns Brass is an organization with a goal to foster community spirit and to entertain. Cairns Brass is very proud of the past success but most importantly is very proud of the family values and the players that have been trained by this organization. The organization is proud to have Cairns Brass No I (B Grade Contesting Band), Cairns Brass No 2 (non contesting Band) a Youth Band for ages 19 years & under (Junior Contesting Band) and a Training Band for learners.
Please visit the relative band links for rehearsal times and information. Cairns Brass Inc has recently undertaken major renovations to the rehearsal facilities and main hall. This facility is the envy of many visiting bands and players and incorporates a new air-conditioned rehearsal room and adjoining annex for entertainment. The main hall is currently under renovations and will compliment the rehearsal room and annex with a modern hall for functions and entertainment. Today, Cairns Brass continues to promote and represent the far north of Queensland both locally and interstate at a whole host of differing concerts, functions and celebrations, providing music in a wide variety of styles, and has active members from every generation.
