In 1972, the The Band Committee decided that practicing in a little old renovated corner store and paying rent wasn't going to allow the band to progress anywhere. It was decided to lease a large block of land on Mulgrave Road and build our own Hall. After a lot of negotiating with different levels of Government the band started to build with the help of Mr. Richard (Dick) Fry and his company, North Queensland Engineers and Agents (N.Q.E.A.) the hall was built. It was officially opened in 1975 .

An addition to the Function Hall at a later date was the bands Rehearsal Room.
